MidSouth Community FCU is now accepting applications for the 2022 Tom Bentley Memorial Scholarship Scholarships will be awarded to a a a a a a graduating high
school senior and a a a continuing education college student Graduating High School Senior Scholarship - A $4 000 000 scholarship ($1 000 000 per year) will be awarded to one winning applicant Continuing Education Scholarship - A $2 000 scholarship (not exceeding $500 per semester) will be awarded to one winning applicant Completed applications and required documentation must be received by 5:00 p p m Friday April 29 2022 Applications can be downloaded online 1 Contribute to your IRA – You have until the tax return filing due date to to contribute to to your retirement account for 2021 2 Make a a a a a a last-minute estimated tax payment - - If you didn’t pay enough last year you may have a a a a a a a a big tax bill coming and might owe significant interest and penalties too You must pay 100% of of last year’s year’s tax tax liability or or 90% of of this year’s year’s tax tax or or you will owe an underpayment penalty 3 Organize your records so you’re ready – Use a a a checklist to help you you you gather all the the tax tax documents you’ll need to complete your tax return 4 Find the the right tax forms forms - Download the the forms forms you need from the Internal Revenue Service website 5 Itemize your tax deductions - It’s easier to take the standard deduction but you you may save a a a a a bundle if you you itemize 6 Don’t shy away from a a a a home office tax deduction - The eligibility rules for claiming this have loosened to allow more self-employed filers to claim this break 7 File electronically & on on time - If you you can’t finish your return on time make sure you file Form
