You can arrange to have your payroll, Social Security, pension, or any other recurring check deposited directly into your MidSouth Community checking or savings account. By doing so, you can eliminate the possibility of losing your check and avoid the need to stand in line to cash or deposit it.

Taking control of your personal finances can be a difficult task, but being armed with the right information is vital to accomplish that goal. At no cost or obligation, we provide advisement on retirement planning, college savings, investment options, estate planning, and insurance solutions, as well as other various investment services.

Payroll Deduction

When you establish payroll deduction at MidSouth Community, money is automatically deducted from your paycheck and deposited into your savings or checking account, or used to make loan payments. It’s an easy way to save or to ensure that you’ll never miss a loan payment.

Scholarship

MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union proudly offers its Tom Bentley Memorial Scholarship Program each year. The High School Senior and Continuing Education scholarships were established to show the Credit Union’s support for education and to help qualified members with the costs of attending college.

Our 2017 Scholarship Recipients

The scholarship awards and requirements are as follows:

  1. Graduating High School Senior Scholarship Application (PDF)
    • A $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 per year) will be awarded to the winning applicant.
    • The children or grandchildren of Volunteers, and the children and grandchildren of employees of MidSouth Community FCU are not eligible for participation in this scholarship program.
    • Any child of a MidSouth Community member may apply. If the applicant is a MidSouth Community member, they may apply. The student must be graduating with or before his/her class and must enter an accredited college within one year of completing high school.
    • Applicants will be considered on the basis of grades, SAT/ACT scores, service provided in school and/or in the community, financial need, written essay, and written recommendations by teachers, administrators or community leaders. Need will be considered in the case of otherwise equally qualified applicants.
  2. Continuing Education Scholarship Application (PDF)
    • A $2,000 scholarship (no more than $500 per semester) will be awarded to the winning applicant.
    • The children or grandchildren of Volunteers, and the children and grandchildren of employees of MidSouth Community FCU are not eligible for participation in this scholarship program.
    • Applicants must be MidSouth Community members in good standing, have graduated from high school or completed the GED requirement, and must have been accepted to an accredited college or technical school at the time of application.
    • Applicants will be considered on the basis of grades, financial need, written essay, overall appearance of the application and written recommendations by teachers, counselors, or community leaders. Need will be considered in the case of otherwise equally qualified applicants.

Applications may be picked up at any MidSouth Community FCU branch, or they may be downloaded from our website. Applications, letters of recommendation, transcripts and academic performance reports must be received at one of the credit union offices no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017.
