New Home Banking Security
As part of our efforts to strengthen Home Banking security, we recently changed the look of our Home Banking page and put extra protection in place to safeguard your Home Banking experience. Currently when you log in to Home Banking, you supply an account number and access code. We’re adding another piece of protection. You will be asked to change your account number to a username and in the coming weeks we will ask you to supply a set of challenge questions and answers for your account. We may periodically spring a challenge question at you when you’re logging in to Home Banking that only you know the answer to.
What will cause a challenge question to be asked? The computer uses various criteria to determine if a security breach may be occurring. Should it appear that someone other than you is attempting to access your account, MidSouth will pop up a challenge question to make sure that it really is you and not an online criminal.
Will you have to answer questions every time you log in?
No. You will only be prompted with a challenge question if fraudulent access is suspected or you access Home Banking from a different PC.
