Our story began in 1936, when we were founded as Bibb Teachers Federal Credit Union by two local principals with a shared vision: to create a financial institution built on trust, service, and support for educators. What started as a small, purpose-driven organization has grown into a thriving credit union serving members across our region—while still holding true to those original values.

From the very beginning, our mission has been about more than just finances, it’s been about people. We are proud to serve our community, and that commitment continues to guide everything we do today. Giving Back: 900 Hours of Service
In honor of our 90th anniversary, we’ve set a goal to give back in a big way: 900 volunteer hours throughout the year. Our team is excited to roll up their sleeves and support the organizations, schools, and causes that make our community such a special place to live and work.
This initiative reflects our ongoing dedication to community involvement and our belief that giving back is one of the most important ways we can make a difference.

Of course, no anniversary is complete without a celebration and we’re excited to celebrate with you all year long!
We’ll be hosting in-branch anniversary parties across our locations, and each one will include:
